thanks bob, i would not describe this pressure loss as rapid. I drove with this problem for months with it slowly getting worse. my tech said he checked it with a pressure gauge, and his reputation is that of a knowledgeable volvo tech. this car ran great and still does just wrecked. i also saw what looked to be a big oil leak but the tech said it would not be worth it to track it down, but i will be pulling the motor if i swap the wagon. i may use the wagon parts to fix my 940 sedan if the oil pressure problem does not require much. just looking for the best solution.
