I've still got no idea why the bar is not the right size...had several measurements and all appear to be the same. No reason why this won't work on my car. It appears to be a 122 bar, but may be for the 1800. IPD are relatively useless with e-mail requests and I didn't have time to call. They probably don't care as the bar was used.

The adapter is made out of 3/8" plate and is plenty strong.

It's closer than it looks, The washer on the endlink comes very close to hitting the cross member but just misses. That should do the trick.
