I agree with Derek...the IGN Switch-Armored Cable-Coil assemblies have an excellent track record and don´t need replacement for service-time only...the lock cylinders DO need help in the form of a Start Switch to prevent key failure...for details on Armored Cable and IGN in general, see: http://www.sw-em.com/Volvo%20Ignition%20from%20Scratch.htm#Vintage%20Volvo%20Ignition%20system%20and%20the%20Armored%20Cable
