Having owned a 544 in the sixties, I paid close attention to them for many years. Although much time has passed, I recall all B18 engined 544s (US) as being marked Sport. The B18 engined cars had 544 emblems on the side of the hood where the "swallow" was on the B16 cars, except the 1965 cars which had the 544 badge on the chassis between the front of the door and the back of the hood. Maybe your car is a late 1964 car with badging as I recall on the 1965 chassis.
