You could definitely be right as I'm most certainly a novice in this area. I had thought perhaps after alignment of the camshaft gear and crankshaft gear in position TDC, if I used a socket on the fiber gear nut and turned it 360 degrees the rotor would then turn 180 degrees. If I then installed the cover and the pulley from this point, the pulley essentially would be installed upside down. So while the relationship between the timing and dizzy gears remain the same, the position of the timing gear marks on the pulley would be off by 180 degrees, thus necessitating the need to swap the plug wire position if I were to use the timing marks on the pulley as a guide. Of course, I could be way off here as I've never replaced a cam before and am not the greatest in regards to math.
