Hi Jeff,

The flimsy plastic part is the one I'm replacing. I didn't think for a second about trying to just put it over the knobs - I guess I was looking for the hard way to do it. Makes perfect sense, as the plastic part is pliable enough to fit over the knobs - I was worried that it would crack.

Thanks for the tip about unscrewing the knobs - again, I figured they were glued in and didn't reef on them to try to break them loose. I'll buff them up and put them back in service.
