Should I use seam sealer inside rain drip channels? 120-130

I think I'd drop the headlining down each side and use a lot of rust killer along the seam inside the car. This should slow down any areas of bad rusting which would open up the seam again. Condensation on the inside of the roof drips down into the seam and this may be the primary cause of the problem. Its a long roof and must flex a bit which speeds up the process. It's not until this problem arises that you realise how the car is put together.
