The Cat.
If the Cat was clogged. You would have a very sluggish, no power car.
If the Cat was not functioning correctly, you may get a Check Engine light but the car would not Cut out.
I'm leaning away from the Cat being this issue.
For giggles, look at the 25amp fuse on the Front Fender.. They too get bad and can cause the car to stall. It controls Voltage to the Fuel Pumps.
