strange condenser leak

hi all
so im getting the new 89 740 up to snuff. i replace the high side hose fitted with a tee/port for testing and a new orifice screen thing.
under vacume it wont hold so i let the vacume suck in about a half can.
i hear a leak on the condenser coil and get closer, pull the air intake tube and there is the leak.
seems over the years the air intake tube rubbed a hole in one of the 180 degree u-bends on the condenser. darn it all :.^(
from now on i will protect that area with some sponge or rubber protector.
well it is progress but not like i hoped.
the orifice tube was completely clogged and had trouble removing it.
