While my carburetor is being pulled to be rebuilt I figured that I should finally redo the front suspension. I have some new lowering springs from Skandix and new bushings from IPD.
I started to pull things off and everything was going perfectly until I reached the dreaded bolt. The bolt that connects the A-arm onto the cross member. I tried everything that I had at my disposal. Brute force, impact wrench, little bit of lube, B.F. hammer, swearing, etc and nothing would get it to come loose. I can get the rear nut to come off, but I cannot get the actual bolt to spin or to move.
I am thinking of heat with a propane torch or something to that effect...although I am a little cautious seeing that flames will travel upwards towards the engine/oil/gas.
Any thoughts as how to get this bugger off?
thanks
