Well about a year or so ago my father bought an 84 245, manual transmission... The only thing i did to it was redo the brakes, when he got it. he came crusing into town missing pretty bad a few weeks ago, the car has roughly 250,000 miles on it. So i figured it was time for a major tuneup, So i changed the Timing belt, put new ignition (plugs, cap, etc) cleaned that nasty throttle body, new Vacuum lines...
Got in the car and it just spun over... looked at the plugs & they were dry, so i disconnected the high pressure line going to the fuel rail, turned the ignition on... No fuel... no click comming from the Relay... jumped the fuses and got a steady stream of gas... then grounded the Relay and got fuel...
So should i start looking to get a New ECU, or is there something else that i might be missing... I hear the 84 wireing harness is junk (by the looks of mine someone has already butchered it) & they have a replacement. I'm not sure if the wear on this old beater, is worth droping about a 1,000 more in parts into it (that is more then he paid for it). Its hard for me to belive that i fried the ECU, cause i really didn't mess with any electrical connections, that i can think of.
any advise would be great, i would hate to put this brick down cause i over looked something.
