Hi all,
before eventually replacing, for the first time, the blown headgasket on my 1975 B20F, I thought I would check it's headbolts tightness first.
I was hoping to gain a little more running-time, hopefully, before tackling the headgasket job itself.
When removing one of the pushrods, it seems it's follower dropped down in the engine.
Where do followers fall-to in the engine and what do I have to do to get this one out?
Also, I guess that followers can only be put back in place when the head is off, right?
I noticed that the procedure for pushrod-removal in my Haynes manual didn't point out the possibility of a lifter falling into the engine. Too bad...
This is my first time ever 'digging' into a pushrod-engine.
Many thanks in advance.
