Not sure if you are asking whether the ends will fit?
Or if the cable is long enough.

I have no idea what end was used on a '74 J-type. I suspect it was the same as earlier models.

For length, I needed to use a cable from an automatic car to reach from the speedo to the overdrive output on my '72 and '70.
