Ethanol in my brick?

Nope: E85 requires new elastomers and some metal parts to prevent both failed hoses/seals and corrosion. The car can be easily modified at manufacture for E85, but not afterward: you will have to install new fuel components to make it work reliably. It may not be possible to find E85-compatible components.
