probably won't be swapping carbs out 'till next week since I'm left without a runner for now; but I'll send word.
As for the geared linkage, I saw this on my Datsun guru's car; even 40DCOEs were overkill on his hopped-up 1.6L, so he retrograded to DGV. to overcome the on-off feel when going between circuits, he's got a gear mesh linkage that is long at low input, and short at high input of the pedal. So try to picture the tapered side of an asymmetrical clam shell. This is a 'left-hand' application. Now the on-off feel is just the cam at 4k rpms.
So dig up some Datsun sites; could be that this is a vintage Japanese thing, he really goes all out on decking his cars like period & geographically correct hot-rods. That being said, it's not hard to make if you have access, aluminum & some imagination...
