Pierce Manifolds sells Weber conversions for all sorts of applications, and will almost certainly know what you need.

The 32/36 progressive Webers do come in left and right hand versions. The usual type for Volvo is DGV or DGEV, with the linkage pulling in towards the engine to open the throttles. The usual VW type is the DFV or DFEV, which goes the other way (which is horrible to deal with because the adjustments are all on the side jammed against the fan shroud).
