Testing 1975 Electronic Ignition 140-160 1975

Nick,
Not a bad price at all. You should've grabbed a few more from the yard and put them on e-bay. I paid a little over 170 on e-bay two years ago, bidding against 14 other guys. NOt surprised the last one went for over 200 on e-bay. They don't come up very often. Of course you could always opt for a brand new Petronix system and such for that price, but its not Volvo. That's just me though.

No problems so far except that I lost the vacuum advance (mine is a B20A Euro version). Most (all?) electronic units are vacuum retard. Still, no noticable loss in mid-throttle power, probably due to the hotter spark from the electronic unit. Also, it is noticably easier to start and the idle is a lot smoother.

Just to feel secure, I've got an extra module AND the old distributor in the trunk just in case...and yes, its got new points and condensor and cap.
