Simultaneous Window and Trans Interlock Failure S90-V90

Anyone ever experienced this? It's happened three times in the last day to my wife with our 1996 960 wagon. She'll get in the car, start it up, and the electric windows will fail to work AND it won't shift out of park. All three times she's ended up turning off the engine, waiting for a few minutes, trying again, and all is well.
I'm aware of interlock failures, but the simultaneous nature of the windows and trans has me puzzled. Is there a common relay that could be causing this? A ground issue that might affect both systems?
