air conditoning problem

I don't think that your hissing noise is related to the a/c. It is probably a leak in the vacuum control system. The 700/900 FAQs has some good information on all this; go here http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/HeatingAirConditioning.htm and select the links on vacuum control and leaks.

I do notice that on my 960 there is a hissing from under the hood after turning the car off and parking.
