He's hinting that the automatic rear might be steeper than what his clutch was designed for because it slips under load. Turns out that sticks are generally numerically higher. Funny too that I was going to tell him about your M47/3.31 combo.

He may have the cable adjusted too tight or a weak pressure cover.
