Tranny question

Replaced tranny mount hoping it was the cause of the tranny poping out of gear, it is infrequent but a little stressful on ocassion. This is in conjunction with having to manipulate the neutral safety switch to get her started.
Do I need to drop the tranny to get to the problem?
