Knock sensor code 700 1989

My computer is giving me the code for no knock sensor signal. I tried replacing the sensor and it' still the same. This is 89 car and computer with a recent 86 transplant engine. I can't be positve I have the correct wire pluged into the sensor, does anyone know what color those wires should be or a way to test them and the sensor? I have a bently but has no 700 wiring diagrams.
