I just had this happen to me. The gas pedal would become weak for a moment, but it would still keep going. Then I opened the hood and realized that I had not properly plugged the electrical back into the air mass meter after changing the air filter. I accidentally pulled off the intake hose, which made it stall right away. Don't know if that was helpful, but hey, what do I know.
