hey b.c.,

sorry for the dalay on answering. it was the pivot bolt that fell out. whatever work i've had on the 89 245 in last year the mechanic must have left off a lock nut. it took over ten thousand miles to happen and luckily close by to a friend with tools. it now HAS a locknut. and i have better understanding of belt adjusting procedures.
