Monroe Sesatrac on Rear? 200

I have never had any luck out of the Monroe or Gabriel shocks and consider them a waste of time and money. They either do not fit well, or don't last very long. That said, I replaced the rear shocks on my 86 240 last Sept with OEM Boge ( not gas charged) and the left rear is now trashed. I removed it Friday and there is very little resistance, then a clunk ,on the down stroke and it sounds like a wounded moose on the upstroke. I have as of this morning an un-replied email to eEuroparts customer service, who were the sellers of the defective Boge. The originals lasted 18 years and the OEM replacement lasted 7 months. I just may get an attitude and go with the KYB.
