Double filament bulbs? 200

Double filament bulbs are used in the 240 1986+ lower outer location for brake and tail lignting. Also used in the two locations in each front corner light - no obvious reason for why.

The bulb socket configuration won't allow a single filament to fit where a double filament is to be used. Not vice versa, either.

On that lower outer bulb, be sure that the right side holder is white and the left side is black.

The white connector with its little pincer connection system begins to fail when the copper film in the pincer begins to oxidize. It gets hot and burnt a bit, and connections get iffy.

Try removing the little pincers and making them just a wee bit tighter. Not touching, just close.

Just some ideas,

Good Luck,

Bob
