engine quit while driving! HELP 900 1993

These are dealer costs and OEM Volvo parts. Mine is a 940 non-turbo.

I wouldn't trust nay local garages because most of them do not know anything about Volvos and would mark up the parts costs even higher. The ones that I would kinda trust, I could give them parts that I purchased, but they would also take longer to do the work and I would end up with the same or higher expense anyway.

After reading my Bently manual, I would rather bow out of this task.

Yes, I could piece meal the parts and take some short cuts, but I would rather be guaranteed that the service was done correctly and not worry about a can of "extra parts" that I may come up with if I tried it myself. Or, do more damage not knowing what I was doing or mis-adjust something and self inflict more problems.

I think it's about $200 high, but it's like paying insurance to make sure it's done right.
