Where are the wires.......? 200

Look in the trunk, above and forward of the spare tire. Along with the RF cable to the present antenna, you should find a pair of wires, black and green, terminating in a 2-wire connector.

A Volvo power antenna will have a connector that fits.

The green wire is hot all the time, key in or out. It is a branch from the lead to the trunk light.

The black is the "trigger" from the radio. Radio on = hot.

The antenna for 240/740/940 is a 3-section unit, not a 5-section. That allows the motor to be lower down, and the clearance for the spare tire is better.

If your stock radio installation was via a 9-pin connector, the in-car half had a red wire for the antenna trigger. You will need to get behind the radio to see if you can locate it. OR, if the amp is in the trunk, splice into the trigger.

the control panel rocker switch might be found in a JY, or on eBay. Rare. It is useful for listening to non-radio, like tape or CD. As in a drive-thru car wash or passing too close to bushes.

Good Luck,

Bob
