Ok To Install Camshaft Sprocket in Intermediate Sprocket? 200 1985

I had a lot of trouble removing the Intermediate Sprocket to replace the oil seal. I put the intermediate sprocket and crankshaft sprocket next to each other and they align perfectly. The only difference is that the camshaft sprocket has more holes, so it would be easier for me to jam an object into the sprocket to help remove it once it's on the intermediate shaft. So, I'm wondering if it's ok to install a camshaft sprocket in the intermediate sprocket space (I have a clean junkyard camshaft sprocket ready to go).
