Actually, there are no speakers where the stock ones are supposed to be. Also, on a Bertone door panel the speaker grill doesn't stick out like on my 86 245. The Bertone panel has a strip of burled wood that runs along the length of the door. Towards the end of the strip, by the hinge, there are some holes drilled into the wood that the speaker resides behind. This area is about 2" high by 4" long. My worry is that even if I find speakers to fit behind this, there is not enough open area to have good sound come out. I may just have to suck it up and cut the panel.
By the way, here is what is being installed:
Visonik sub box with 2 10" subs
600W amp (I forgot the brand)
Swiss audio 6 X 9 3-way in the back
Swiss audio 6" 3 way in the front (if I decide to cut the panel)
Panasonic 40w 4 channel head unit (already in the car)
I'm new at this and am only putting this in because my brother gave me the sub box. My Bertone is black, lowered, dechromed with chrome wheels, leopard skin seat covers, and limo lights along the inside roof. When I saw it, I had to have it. My wife is mortified and refuses to ride in it. When she asked why I'm putting this sound system in I said "Since it looks like a pimp ride, it's going to sound like a pimp ride!".
Thanks for all the input,
Erich
