Hood release cable snap 200 1993

Is the cable just a single wire? (It is on my 1980). If so, a replacement wire of the same gauge should be stiff enough to poke forward through the sleeve.

So why replace the whole unit? I would try finding a suitable stiff wire first. If you can work it through the existing sleeve, you don't have to either buy a new setup or pull out the existing one and replace it (which looks to me like it would be a PITA).

If you go this route, be sure and lube the wire good when you put it in. Maybe needle-inject some grease ahead of it into the sleeve.

Good luck.
