while you're right about cooling efficiency being reduced, freezing point has NOT been raised. it's been lowered. meaning it's more difficult for stuff to freeze. any solute that is added to water will lower its freezing point. (freezing point depression)

you won't really harm anything by having 75% in your car during the winter. just keep an eye on the gauge during the summer. if it becomes a problem, drain some and refill it with water... or drain and flush the entire system.

edit:
apologies to rhaire. you were right, ethylene glycol+water's freezing point is is dependent on concentration. guess i do learn something new every day. :)
