fuel adatives opinions wanted....

Volvo says no additives, true. I expect they mean oil additives, octane boosters, radiator crap, power steering conditioners, and all that kind of nonsense. Techron is really a cleaner - sorta like draino for your fuel system. When I bought my '84 240 in 1984, Volvo recommended using Techron at regular intervals, and I normally bought my supply from the Volvo dealer. I do not know if Volvo continues to recommend its use, especially given how gasoline today already has cleaners blended in. Gasoline today is very different than the gasoline of 20 years ago. I wonder if products like Techron are still even useful? Opinions??
