Taking off the engine and trans 700 1987

(the cylinder head and all parts are off the engine). Just the bone block remains (w pistons ect). Took off the alt,ac and power steering pump.

On going project. Is there any trick or nightmares to this. I am going to be pulling the engine and tranmission off together. To fix the rear seal, and the trany to fix the tail shaft bushing.

I wanted to fix the rear seal and was planning to just remove the engine, but then I think it'll be easier to remove both. I disconnected the U joints, shifter and the solenoid wire. I also removed the header pipe.

I'm going to rent a hoist. Anyone attempted this before? I was thinking of wrapping a chain around the block.
