I can only address #4 if the OD is a Laycock unit and #5 for the trailing arm bushings only.
#4 is anything from a fuse to actuating piston seals depending upon symptoms and noise if any.
#5 is almost as bad as the blower motor but not as time consuming with the proper tool. Which I rent.
On both my 85 and 83, I replaced selective wires instead of the whole harness. Only the ones from the connector block on the firewall containing alterator, oil pressure, starter, and coil needed replacement. Everything else in the harness was OK except for slight discoloration from heating. I was lucky I guess. Total time for repair was about 3 hours each and I rerouted the wires for the alt and oil around the rear of the egnine bay and along the right fender instead of forward and under the harmonic balancer. No exposure to oil or heat via that route.
E-mail me for a troubleshooting sheet on the electrical side of the Laycock OD. It takes about 20 minutes to troubleshoot and doesn't need any special tools initially. At worse an Ohm meter for definative tests.
