I am very grateful for all the information. I just found this forum this week. Oh well, sad but wiser! I'll be checking in regularly from now on for sure.

I have contacted the Dealer who did the work asking for proof. I'll try to post something of their answer. Meanwhile I note some of the conflicting evidence from experience and the Chilton manual. Maybe Im like some one we know clutching for the last straw. Could we recount? I detest going to court, supreme or otherwise, so was just hoping for some written documentation. I have to say the parts people who sold the coil seem to be reasonable about it all and may have been given the wrong info. Need confirmed written documentation before I or they will be convinced.
