Testing Blower Fan Switch 200 86

Blower is not working on settings 1 and 2. But does work on 3&4. Fan bangs around a bit, so, I thing it is contacting the plenum (probably an incorrectly installed replacement motor)

I was advised (here) to test the fan switch before tearing into things.

what is the best way to access and test the switch?
