Thanks for the input. I just finished installing the new harness. As to the one going into the fire wall, I made a pigtail from a junk yard harness from a non turbo 740. I exposed the wires all the way to the fire wall, and had to cut off about 8 inches to get down to some good insulation. It is a real tight place to try and splice wires.

I found a great item at the auto parts store, a butt connecter made of heat shrink with solder inside. I had to buy a heat gun to make it work, (small pencil blow torch was to hot) but well worth it. The splice is soldered and water tight. As yet I have not rewrapped the harness down to the firewall.

There are still some fried wires lurking about, one three prong connector going to what looks like the ingnition ballast, is next on my list. I hope this helps otheres who we know will have the problem.
