Re: fuel pressure 200 1989

Fuel filter??

You have that 'sock' on the in tank pump which may get all gummed up depending on how good the gas station is. I have an '89 with 186000 on it and the tank sock was beautiful when I did the in tank pump a few weeks ago. BUT you also have the biggy under the car (under the drivers seat). That will definitely cause a restriction. I think they recommend changing it every 30K.

If you are in an area that goes to this Oxegenated fuel thru the winter, I hear that this fuel pulls all the crap off the gas stations tanks as well as your own gas tank and clogs fuel filters. My friend says most of his winter quick fixes are just new fuel filters (he owns his own service station).
