I walked outside and looked at my 83-200 and the ground wires are split between the mounting bolts for the fuel rail, two wires on each self thread(?) bolt. In that case the grounds are not likely the source since both grounds would have to fail at the same time. Check the fuel pressure.

If fuel comes out it does not mean that you have the pressure necessary. When my 83 failed in just this manner it was the 1/2 inch hose connecting the intank pump to its' output line. This is a classic case. Have you already replaced that short intank hose?

Have you ever had trouble climbing hills? Ever had hesitation when attempting to accelerate at highway speed? Ever have an undiagnosed miss that goes away?

Access is under the rear deck or from the trunk. Spray the area with WD40 to clear trash and lube. A wide blade will bridge the lockring. I use a short handle garden hoe.
