Habib-

240's had a problem with the rear bushing on the control arm causing a shimmy under braking. Volvo addressed this problem by spec'ing different bushings for the left and right sides. These are located at the rear of the 'wishbone' in the 'bucket' retained by three bolts. If you have the original bushings, they have holes surrounding the center. Replacement bushings are solid, and as I mentioned, left and right are different part numbers but appear identical with solid rubber. (no holes)
