Yes, if the crank position sensor (behind the head over the flywheel) is NG the ignition computer can't determine the spark timing, therefore you won't get any spark.

And if you don't get any spark, the LH computer won't get the signal it needs from the ignition computer, and the LH comp won't turn on the injectors at all.

If Robb is getting spark when he cranks the engine, that will rule out any problem with the crank sensor.
