144 pedal box removal 140-160 1967

I have been slowly switching over a '67 144 from a BW35 auto to a M40 manual trans setup. I ran into a snag trying to remove the pedal box from under the dash.
I have the steering wheel out , the drivers seat out, drilled out that rivet looking bolt that holds up the steering column to the bottom of the dash and also removed the brace that held the auto trans selector bar that goes through the firewall.
The automatic trans pedal box is nice and loose but is hung up somewhere below the instrument cluster. Do I need to remove this instrument cluster to get this old pedal box out ?? I'm not as agile when I was young but I'm trying ...
Any advice to get this bugger out would be helpful.
Thanks, Duck
