940 struts etc - need advice 900

If there is a lot of play between the strut tube and the ball joint you don't need to worry about damaging the ball joint- it sounds like it needs replaced anyway.

If the ball joints are not worn and do not need replaced simply unbolt the ball joints from the bottom of the strut tube and leave the ball joints in place when removing the struts.
