turn signal wiring colors 200 1990

I ran into something like this in my 91 two days ago. Finished up the blower motor replacement and took it for its triumphant test drive, only to have no turn signals but working hazards. In my case, I didn't correctly seat the plug on the hazard switch. The bottom pin on the connector was somewhat deformed and I had to open it up a little with a pick and reinstall it, making sure the wire seated on the switch pin. Did you entirely dismount the turn signal stalk? If you didn't touch its wiring based on my recent experience you may want to doublecheck the hazard switch. On my car it looked correctly installed but that one crimp was clearly protruding out beyond the back of the molded plastic plug, so it wasn't making contact (or at least enough to turn the lights on.) Perhaps a different pin is loose in your plug, allowing just the right side to come on?

Art's pictures were invaluable in my work too. Now, oddly, I sometimes get a little rattle from the blower when making slow left turns but I don't care enough to take it back apart since this is just my weekend hobby car.
