Replacing breather box on 960 -- best method? 900

In my quest to keep the oil in our V90, I need to do this job (replace breather box) ASAP. I have read about two methods. FCP even has a nice video showing the replacment on an S70 where they pull the intake manifold. Lots of stuff to take apart, but the video doesn't make it look so bad.

Obviously the 960/S/V90 motor is in line, which changes the game slightly as you could get access from the front with the PS pump and alternator removed.

Do you pull the intake manifold? Just how hard is it?

Or is it easier to remove the alternator and go in from the front? If memory serves, Aye Roll (Rob B.) says they use this procedure in his shop.

Thanks!
Andy R.
