If that is sarcasm, I understand and apologize.

But if a genuine expression of thanks, I owe you a greater apology.

Halon is ideal because it won't harm the wiring. But between the appearance in your photo and the unlikelihood you have (had) a Halon extinguisher, I think you have to deal with the corrosive effects of the ABC powder. That's why the comments on replacing the harness. Every affected electrical connection will be suspect, much like a flood car.

But I'm with you, because I view replacing electrical connections as something more in my line of experience than straightening out the body of that "total" example you presented. Give "halon" a whirl on wikipedia. I was surprised to learn it was still legal to manufacture for this purpose early this century. All the datacenters, I suppose.

By the way SB, did you ever determine the cause of the fire?
