Brake Lights stay on 200 1993

Hi Frank,

On your '93, the parking, or running lamps (funny about the words for tail lamps) are two-to-a-side. I know we talked about this earlier Tail light details and I don't have memorized which is where.

But one of them on each side is the thin, 4-watt filament of a dual-filament bulb. The thick side is the 21-watt brake lamp. These dual filament lamps are tricky, with their special sockets and offset nubs on their bases. If one of them is inserted incorrectly, it could short the two circuits together.

That doesn't seem to be the case in yours, if the high-mounted (window) brake light is not lighted at all with the parking lamps. But it could be confusion resulting from the fact both tail and brake lights come from the same lens on the dual-filament bulbs. The brake lights are supposed to be the brighter of the two.

The power stage work would appear to be coincidental -- at least I can't think of any tie in up there.
