Not that complex 200

Art,

Having done a very small amount of residential HVAC work, mostly heat pumps, after cutting new lines, I always de-burred them on the inside of the cut, cleaned the outside and then flushed the copper line before installation. That was even when I used a pipe cutter and not a saw.

My assumption that a Volvo AC hose in a Volvo blue bag with the made in Poland sticker and part number would have already addressed the issue of "flushing" before shipment. The main intent behind my original post was to "warn" folks to inspect and flush new Volvo AC hoses before installing them, I was not out to vilify Volvo or FCP.

ps. I had to give up on the long commute... I'm reporting from my remote location (a hotel) in Ft. Mill, SC. Four hours (with traffic) round trip commutes each day was simply too much! Irv Gordon has nothing to worry about now!
