subwoofer for a 940 trunk?

I just purchase a 1992 940 sedan and apparently the prev. owner had a subwoofer in the trunk because the wires (power, ground, signal) are hanging there.

I wouldn't mind a little more bass but do not want to pay too much or rattle the car or neighbors (OK I'm 50+). It seems the simpliest way to go is with a powered subwoofer I can just hook up. The cheapest I have seen is the Bazooka tube for about $199 (Crutchfield). Any thoughts or recommendations?
